Maria G. Valdez built her career as a bilingual communications professional by blending a passion for storytelling with a keen understanding of multicultural markets. After earning a bachelor’s degree in Communications and Media Studies in the Dominican Republic, she moved to New York City to study Musical Theatre at the New York Film Academy. Not long after graduating, she transitioned into writing, covering human-interest stories, Latin music and entertainment, beauty, and wellness.

Rising quickly from reporter to editor at Latin Times, Maria later served as Lead Editor for the Latina vertical at POPSUGAR, where she strengthened the brand’s impact on modern Latinas. Her growing interest in music publicity led her to work with Music Publicist & Consultant Cristina Novo-Bernal at Artistry & Records, where she developed and executed PR strategies for high-profile celebrity clients in the U.S. Latin market. After further honing her skills at H+M Communications, Maria launched her own agency, MGV Haus, in 2023, leveraging her editorial background, industry connections, and bilingual expertise to offer innovative and culturally driven publicity services.
